S. Brent Morris, 33°, Grand Cross, is Managing Editor of the Scottish Rite Journal of the Supreme Council, 33°, S.J.


He retired in 2000 after 25 years as a mathematician with the federal government, and has taught at Duke, Johns Hopkins, and George Washington Universities.

He is an endowed member of Highland Park Lodge No. 1150, Dallas, Texas, twice Past Master (1979 & 2000) of Patmos Lodge No. 70, Ellicott City, Maryland, Past Master (2008) of Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076, London, a Fellow of the Philalethes Society, recipient of the Philalethes Society Certificate of Literature, an honorary Fellow of the Phylaxis Society, Editor of Heredom, the transactions of the Scottish Rite Research Society (S.R.R.S.), recipient of the S.R.R.S. Albert G. Mackey Lifetime Achievement Award, a Fellow of the Texas Lodge of Research, and Grand Abbot of the Society of Blue Friars.

He is author of many articles and books on Freemasonry including:

He is a member of the York Rite, the Red Cross of Constantine, the Royal Order of Scotland, Allied Masonic Degrees, and Societas Rosicruciana In Civitatibus Foederatis.

Bro. Paul Edward Rana has been a member of Austin Lodge #12 since 2007 and a member of the Austin Scottish Rite since 2008. He writes and lectures internationally on Kabbalah, Alchemy, Rosicrucianism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism and initiatory bodies of the Western Esoteric Tradition. As a translator, author and editor he has published over 20 volumes on French haute-grade Masonry and related esoteric currents. 


Bro. John Tolbert is a Past Master of San Marcos Lodge #342 and a member of Robert Burns Lodge #127. He served as District Deputy Grand Master of District 52 in 2014 and is a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason belonging to both the Valleys of Austin and Guthrie, Oklahoma. He has also been a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas Masonic Education and Services Committee since 2015.


Bro. Kevin K. Main 32° K.C.C.H. has been an author and lecturer on the subjects of Freemasonry, the Scottish Rite, and Esotericism for more than a decade, as well as an author, contributor, and editor to books and anthologies on the subject of Freemasonry, its history, symbolism, and philosophy. He is a Past Master of Plano Lodge #768 in Plano, Texas. He currently serves as a member of the Masonic Education and Service Committee for the Grand Lodge of Texas. 


Dr. Jim Rumsey is a Past Master of Texas Lodge of Research (TLR), and a recipient of that Lodge’s Distinguished D. D. Tidwell Award of Merit for contributions to Texas Masonic Research and Scholarship. He was initiated, passed and raised at Pine Tree Lodge No. 1396 in Longview, Texas. Brother Rumsey is currently serving as an elected member of the Grand Lodge Committee on Work. A proven leader in our fraternity, he was recently elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the Shriner’s Hospital for Children’s Galveston Pediatric Burn Hospital.
